Very Nice.
Did you rebuild your original core support...or find a good donor?

Here are pictures of core support before restoration. Support was not bad but had some areas that needed attention. Used a combination of torch and mig welding.

Great job; especially the before & after version.
Did you purchase new rubber straps or make them as well?

Made the straps using old ones as patterns. Used pop rivets instead of staples like the original.
Thanks for the encouragement!

I like the way you did the seals

If anyone else needs to repair a rad support in that area let me know, i have one perfect for cutting on..... good metal for patches,

It's just bent up at the top and not fixable. the PO put a chain around it to pull the radiator out of the fan!. bottoms corners are still good though.

Nice. Here in the land of never rust, folks are to quick to toss something with a little rust damage. Bugs me sometimes cause it's not like these parts are sittin' under every tree anymore, or for that matter even in the salvage yards.

The great thing about steel. If you have a hammer, heat and a welder you can fix anything.

Fire & Hammer (Off Subject)

Some of the guys were playing in the fire Friday afternoon and came up with an interesting twist on a fire poker handle.
