Hey people here's a good one. Just got my 350 out of the shop for an HPOP line oil leak which was 1200 $ and a #5 injector 1100 $ I know is a lot each line from ford cost 255$ and fitting 75$.I've gone about 1500 km or 1000 miles. I stop for fuel and low and behold the oil puddle is back coming down the back of engine. Should I just loose it on these guys that worked on it they usually have been very good. Or is it time to let the truck go I got a shudder starting out when I go slow too hoping its not the diff. Me not happy I love this truck and that's big considering I was a cummings man before.
Take it back to your guys and have them fix it. You paid for them to fix it so if they didnt before they will have to eat the cost. I work as a dealership and that kinda stuff is highly looked down on and is considered a comeback for the tech who worked on it. If you take it back and they want you to pay another 1000 dollars for the repair talk to the service manager and then you will get what you want. Also alot of times its better to get your parts from international cause ford has to buy the parts from them first and then you deal with markup on the ford parts. Dont go back to cummins though. The international engine is great in its own way but when tuned right cummins normally edges out vs a 7.3. Even better yet was today on the way home going through the fort pitt tunnels in pittsburgh i raced a 2004 commonrail cummins with some kinda tuner on it and blew his doors off all thanks to Jodys tunes!!! Nothing feels better to smoke a dodge in race!!!!!
Probably your orings where your turbo bolts to the pedastal. do you have oil in the front of the valley on the top of the motor or is it more concentrated to the back of the valley? If you get a flashlight and look at the turbo from the left side you will see an arm coming from the turbo. More than likely you will see oil at the bottom of it. There are a lot of things that will leak on this motor but I wouldn't think getting rid of it is an option unless you have money to burn. If all else fails and you don't want to take back to them get yourself some oil die and check it yourself with a UV light. I would start by cleaning up first. Let us know what you find.

My truck leaks there slighty too. I would take it back the the shop and make them do it. He paid for them to fix the leak not put on random parts like some dealers do to make money.
Thanks 300ultra I looked just where you said and low and behold I struck oil.And it is concentrated in the back of engine. Anyone can tell me how hard it is to fix this and can I do it myself? Are there any links to show me how and of course how much can I expect to spend?
well what year is your truck? The older 4 bolt ones are a pain to work on. the newer ones with the clamp are much easier. just 2 orings there. 4 blots that hold the turbo on that you will need a 10mm swivle socket to access. while the turbo is off. Check to see if your turbo uppipes are leaking. If so its much eaiser to replace with turbo off with the new bellows kit. Also when replaceing the orings use gasket selaer to hold them in place or they can fall off and spray oil everywhere if its the supply
Its an 02 F350 is it alright to drive for a while I got one more trip north 600 k then I have a bud with a shop and time. Will it harm the truck as long as I keep the oil up?
