will turning down my fuel about 3 flats help me get better mpgs?
currently i have it turned up 2 flats.
i also think my ip is dying because i have noticed a little more smoke(clean air filter), less mpgs since i bought it, and the ip seems to be a little wet with diesel.
If it's blowing black smoke all the time, turning down the pump will help with mpg. If it's only smoking when you run it hard, then the only thing that will help mpg is staying out of the throttle.
well, i have noticed it has been blowing more black smoke since i turned up the fuel, which was almost a year ago. even with a new air filter it smokes the same. thats why i think it could be my ip.
Try turning it down 1.5 flats.
Going lower than the original settings will increase the MPG and lower the power.
But you also have to consider, if the power is way down and you have to drop an extra gear on every hill, the higher RPM ands lower gear to pull the hill are burning more fuel dropping the MPG.
If you have a lot of hills, turning the IP down to far will lower MPG in the end.
