I just bought a boost gauge for my 2003 F-250 with the 7.3 Liter. Where is the best spot to run the line to the intake? I looked around but do not see any plug or anything that can be removed and filled with that tube. Any help is appreciated!
If you have the 1/8" nylon line, you're going to need a compression fitting/ferule to hold it down. Drilling/tapping the tubes is going to be tough to get sealed, but the cast ducts would work out easier.
Ok I have a compression fitting/ferule that came with it. Didn't really get that last part. Are you saying to drill into the intake side of the turbo pipe and put it there? Anyone have a picture of the best spot to put it?
On the 6.0 you remove the intake elbow and they you drill and tap it. Reinstall and hook up the boost line. I am sure that this will work on the 7.3 as well
Cut the rubber hose that goes to the MAP sensor and install a "T". Hook up your boost gauge hose to one leg of the "T" and you are good to go. No drilling, tapping, metal fillings or mess.
thanks for the replies, but it won't matter now! A lady hydroplaned in front of me today and I smashed the crap out of her car and the new truck. Will be hearing from the insurance soon whether it's totaled or not. Looked like the frame was tweaked though, so I was assume it is.
