find a complete 5.0 explorer motor and leave it alone...more than enough power to be fun (and different) in a classic Mustang. The other option is a complete 5.0 HO 87-93 Mustang motor but they lack the GT40 heads and intake of the explorer motors. the HO & explorer also use a different firing order than the truck and non-HO 302's so getting one from a truck or lincoln or crown vic defeats your purpose unless you wanna tear down and rebuild.

ok thanks again for all the help you guys have provided once this project gets underway ill try and keep you informed on how its going. now i just have to find the car.
