truck won't start not building enough icp, just put, new icp sensor, icp regulator, and high pressure pump only building about 125 psi, unplugged the icp still no start. when unplugging the regulator shoulded the icp be zero? because it builds to 125 the same as plugged in. thanks in advance. btw truck is completely stock.
When you say ICP regulator, are you referring to the IPR down low on the HPOP? I've never monitored ICP with the IPR unplugged, so I don't know if the 125 reading is an issue or not.
If you crank it for 20 seconds, can you get any codes to show up? What year truck? Tach bounde while cranking? Glow plug light come on and go off like normal? Other dash lights normal? Oil level full? Any issues before the no start happened? If you've already done all the basics, you'll need to check high pressure oil readings in each head after isolating it (closing off the other head). You can monitor the drivers side with a scanner by reading ICP psi, but you'll need an old fashioned guage to read the passenger side.
ok its a 99, got two codes 1212 and 1211, both icp codes, the oil is good the tach moves while cranking, and with the key on there is a ton of fuel pressure in the filter housing. one more time and a
yeah the reservoir is still full, and this was happening before the icp, ipr, and hpop replacement, i'm thinking a wiring issue with the ipr because even with the icp sensor unplugged there is no change
Then we kind of need to go back to the beginning and get any other info you can share with us. What have you done so far in trouble shooting that led you to the replacements? Do you have any codes? What % is your IPR maxing out at while cranking? Are you getting a CPS signal? Battery voltage not dropping too much while cranking?
