hey guys i have a 94 F-250 with a 460 and a 5 speed that didnt come with a stock tach, i did install one aftermarket....but i just scored a complete intereior that has a gauge cluster with a tack in it but this truck is a 93 F-150 with a 6 cylinder...can i just plug it into mine and will the tach on the cluster work?
really? great man i was hopeing for that kind of answer!!!!i like haveing a tach i watch it more than my speedo but i would really prefer to have it in my cluster than mounted on my dash....some guys like that look ....but i myself dont i would prefer the truck be clean and smooth on the inside ....thanks alot man !!!! i just dont want to put this whole dash back together with this other gauge cluster and find out i have to take it back out lol
from what i researched here, 92-93 are interchangable, 94-95 are interchangable, and 96 is on its own. based on that, the 93 cluster will not work on your 94. it will fit and may appear to work, but you may have issues with your charging system.
thats what i was afraid of.....i knew it would fit ....as im hopeing all the other interior pieces will fit too but was not sure about the wireing end of it all,,,,i wsant even sure if my truck would have bein wired to run a tach or not....i really dont wanna have electrical issues ,,,,i owuld rather blow the motor...i hate chaseing wireing probloms...thanks for the info
I have a 94 truck and a spare cluster from a 93 and though the instruments might work, I know for a fact that there are different warning indicators in different places. By that, I mean in a "check engine" situation, the light will light up in the same place, but there is a different icon there such as airbag warning.(just an example)
