Does anyone see any problems with installing this on a 78'? It sure would be nice to have this on misty days.

There shouldn't be any issues. I've got one on my truck (1977). Works great.

I used one from a late 80s truck
one wire was different on the plug, the windshield sprayer didnt land on the right pin iirc
think all i had to do was move the wire in the connector and it was perfect
