Hello I have a 93 351w in a f350, When the engine is cold it runs on the higher side of the normal mark, under idle and under high rpm and driving.
But when it warms up it stays at the same place under driving and just above idle but, but at idle (stop light) if starts bouncing down towards the zero mark and will go all the way down there, i just keep a little throttle on and it come right back up. I will be installing Mechanical gauge very soon. ANY Ideas on what this might be? what pressures should I see on the mech gauge for this engine?
The dash gauge will read zero until the pressure reaches 5 PSI and then it will read normal in the center of the scale. That is the only two positions it has. It works like an oil light.
