Your old man had taste. Wish I had that Buick today.

Edit: Oh, wait a minute. The Buick was grandpa's car. Mom had the Mustang.

Ah, the good old days when we were young and already had Ford blue runnin thru our veins. I remember "helping" my dad rebuild his front calipers on his 81 F150. I also remember sitting in the engine bay (you used to be able to sit next to an inline 6 back then) and "helping" him replace the valve cover gasket and rebuild the carb. Wish I had my great uncles 48 Ford dump truck. Nothing but Fords on my dads side of the family (except for the Triumph and MGB that my dad and uncle had in college)

im the same way. we had nothing but Fords and mercurys. we then had a few buicks that were work cars but they were beat to crap. i tried my hand at GM and the piece of crap died on me. i will never own anything but fords ever again.

i dont think i will have to worry about it after i get my flathead rebuilt and the car restored. the car should run forever. the same with my diesel.

not the car im restoring but one we had when i was little.

I have a picture of me in the mustangs bay "helping" disconnect stuff because we were removing the engine because it was blown.

I only hope when I have kids I'll be able to make memories with them like my dad did with me.
