System is not charging

Fellas,
Everything on the truck has been perfect for the past couple weeks. No issues till today, driving along, looked at the gauges and the volt meter read on the N of NORMAL. I had put in a junkyard alternator so i figured it was shot and also tried the regulator, also a junk yard spare. Both replaced with new and still wont charge. Checked all cables and re secured the grounds and batt terminals. Could i have killed the batteries? Last time i had this issue it was both the reg and alternator that had blown out but i kind of caused that one....made some sparks! oops. Any help always appreciated.

With the cab swap and wiring color differences, I don't know what to tell you.

If you go to this link, all the way at the bottom of the page there is a simple diagram of alternator wiring for all three automotive types.

The bottom diagram of the bunch is what your system should be wired like.
The switch in the diagram would be your ignition switch, and the run (on) wire from the ignition switch goes to the I terminal of the voltage regulator.

Now that was strange, your post you made 30 minutes ago showed up when I posted my reply.

Wierd bro, maybe it was in need of a refresh. Either way no big deal, it was one of the female connectors on the wiring harness that hooks on to the voltage regulator. Something so simple. Oh well. When i took the alternator out of the truck to get it tested though it was really bad and made some bad smells when going through the test. All's well that ends well.
