I went for the first real test drive in the truck today. It was awesome. But i did have some noticeable bumpsteer. Im know im not the first to have this problem, so what have you guys done on this. I have a dropped axle, and the toyota conversion....
You are always going to have a certain amount of mump steer with a straight axle, its just the nature of the beast.
Take a peak under your truck and have a look at the steering geometry, especially the link between the steering box and the steering arm. This link should be roughly parallel with the ground. The more of an angle its at the worse the bump steer will be.
Thanks bobby, I know ill have some i just want to minimize it as much as possible. As far as my windows, i had a guy down on second street do them and i dont think id recomend him. He did a good job on the windshield and the rear window but im not happy with the felting and frames on the side. I will probably redo them myself....
Yeah, Id like to go to a couple just havnt had the time so far. Im waiting for my wheels, I had to order them from vintiques. Hopefully they will be in in a week and i can get on the road....
