Oil Question
I noticed today that my oil is still clean on the dipstick. The weird thing is the oil was changed last week. Is this ok. My old 350 would turn oil black in 3 minutes. This is a new truck so i an just kind of paranoid now.

I'm using Shell Rotella Synthetic in mine, and with 1k miles on fresh oil I can still see through the oil to the dipstick, I think it all depends on the clenliness of the inside of the engine and the type of oil itself as to how long it stays clean looking, have you ever sent a sample to Blackstone? its well worth the cost.

Mine stays clean for a while, probably like 1000 miles or so. I always thought it was a good thing. Now you got me a little worried, but not really. At least you aren't the only one, though. Has to make you feel a little better, right?
