05-07 Front End conversion coming sooner than expected

Well, it looks like the conversion will be done sooner than i expected! The wife smoked a deer tonight driving from base to Medical Lake, LOL. She was so worried i was going to be upset! She says" You arent upset, i was expecting u to be mad!" I said no babe, this gives me more reason to do my front end conversion. i was laughing the whole time, She said, Oh my god i cant believe you!!! Im just glad she was in the truck and not the car when it happened. The car would have had more damage and her possibly getting injured from it too. So thats the most important thing.

So anyway, looks like the Bumper is bent in on the passenger side and rubbing on the tire when she turns, and also the Passenger side headlight is loose, my guess is a mount broke or something. Not sure of anything else, lost the Ford Emblem, but no biggie, will just buy a special order one or something online. So need to get it to the Body Shop for an Estimate and then press on with buying the parts thru certifit or LMC Truck parts. I know i can get a Black grille and header panel on ebay for about $140, which isnt bad either. Im going to look for a bumper on there too.

Any other ideas?

What else do you need besides the grille and headlights? Can you use the same bumper if it wasnt damaged? What about the headlight wiring? Sorry for asking lots of questions. My grill needs replacing and I figured to might as well go this route.

Ken, sounds like you might consider the 05 grill and bumper so you don't have to trim the grill to fit the 99-04 bumper. You'll have to take things apart and see where your header panel is broke. If the break is in a part you'd have to trim out anyway, just leave the old header panel in there and trim to fit the new headlights, otherwise go ahead and get the 05 header panel too. Don't forget to take a close look at your tranny cooler and make sure it didn't take any damage from the deer.

Titan, you can trim your existing header panel to make the new headlights work, and even leave your existing grill on there if you want to. Otherwise you'll need to trim the bottom of the 05 grill down so it clears the bumper. Then just wire or zip tie the bottom in place. You can buy a wiring adapter so your existing wiring plugs into the newer style headlights.

Like Jim said, glad your wife is save. I've smashed into a deer before too, not too fun.

I helped a buddy shave an 05 grille for his 2000 f250 and it was a bitch. We took out time and it came out clean but trust me, you'll be much happier when everything looks perfect after doing the "complete" conversion.

Happy Modding!

Ok, i already have the 05 harley lights. So all i need is the Harley grille and a Black Bumper, im lookin up parts on LMC truck parts, seems like some good deals. Will probably save me some money by going that route, unless i go to certifit.com. Im going to go ahead and get the header panel from ebay, so i dont have to trim the grille, im not fond of doing jobs like that. The bumper is damaged, so will need a new one. Im going to try and have a friend look at everything and give me an idea of what all is needing to be replaced. I got pics, but of course the wife took them and they arent all that good, LOL. Once i get better pics, i will try and post them. The front end will msot likely be a complete 05 Harley Front end conversion. Im hoping i dont have to buy a new passenger headlight, but if i do, oh well. Just need to get the truck in for a good estimate and then get the check and start buying parts i guess.
