After asking several times for people to post pictures of their compressor mount and not seeing any, I finally just went ahead and did it. I was out camping and woke up so decided to do the job.
I pulled the tray out from behind the rear seat and mounted the compressor in it. I made two slits in the rubber plug on the drivers side under the rear seat. I ran the two hoses through there and along the frame to the air bags. I removed the plates in the doorway by pulling straight up. I removed the kick panel under the e-brake. I ran the hoses and wires along the floor and up behind the e-brake. I then ran them under the steering column to where I decided to mount the controls. Eventually I will get the f650 center section and mount the controls in it.
Just go to my blog for pictures. If anyone wants more pics, let me know.
Looks nice Ron, Your controls are where my brake controler is. Where is yours? Great place by the way(Somerville) we go there now and then We like the Youpon area and the CRAPPIE maybe we'll see you there someday.

Looks really good, do you happen to know what the CFM rating is for the pump? is it very loud?
That rubber plug is where i ran my power cables for my inverter, how convenient of Ford to put those there for us .
My brake controller is below the controls. When I get my 650 center piece, I will mount everything flush.
I do not know the CFM. I purchased it at Camping world a few years a go and had it on my motorhome. When I got the 5th wheel, I removed it for the truck.
It is noisy, buy it is only used for a minute or two. It is not something you constantly adjust going down the road. Hook up, adjust to 70 psi on each side. Unhook, air down to 5 psi. It has rubber grommets that the bolts go through so that quiets it down some, but then I believe the plastic it is mounted to amplifies the sound, canceling each other out.
I have thought about air horns, but do not want to spend the money on them.
I hear you on the air hornes, a few weeks ago i was at a car show and there was a big
rig there will a bunch of different types of air hornes for you to try out. i was very
impressed and my wallet was on fire but the wife was not at all impressed, ill just keep
on her and hopefully she will change her mind.

My wife is warming to the idea. I had played her sound clips in the past and when someone does something stupid enough in traffic that she feels the need to comment, I say "If I had train horns they'd be pizzing their pants right now". The kids are even saying it (peeing their pants). Then my neighbor and I put a set on his bus and she see's how unbelievably load they are, and now she is a little timid about the idea, not that she would be mad at me for it, or anything. I just have to justify the expense in MY mind first.
