Did you also post in the V10 forum? Fixing the broken manifold bolts has been discussed many times. Search for "manifold bolt" or "exhaust manifolds" though. Not headers. That'll lead you to a different discussion.
$800 is preposterous! You could put actual headers on for less than HALF of that!

I spoke with our purchasing guys, and I don't have them available to me yet.
I'm not a native New Englander but rather a native Hawaiian. It's my wife who is the New Englander.
Looking for soot is a simple way to help pinpoint a leak plus, of course, the sound. Sounds like you need to find a different place to service your truck.
We found a manifold leak which got a bit louder so we can hear it now.
Its not bad at all, but they claim its an inspection item which will fail the truck.
We found an Indy who did the brake line break and another who like manifolds, we'll do the brakes.
So far so good. Just a few things to do before we start piling on the miles...........
