Airbag light
Airbag light
Hey guys, Check this out. My 95 4.9 m5od recently had an airbag code 34 flash on me. The Ford publications service manual states a code 34 is either a bad clockspring or an airbag. I replaced the clockspring and still got the code 34. I replaced the airbag and still got code 34. Last ditch effort, I swapped it with another module and it is fine. My module in another truck gives code 34. Bad module. Where is the best place to obtain another module or should I look into having it repaired by one of the vendors on ebay? Any input would be great, thanks.
I got the same problem. What module are you talking about? Where is it located? Also, another post said that the airbag should have 1 ohm resistance. Don't measure your airbag with a VOM because it could set off the bag. Got to Radio Shack and buy a 1 ohm resistor and stick it in the connector to act like a "good" airbag.
No. The computer is under the steering column. It is blue and has two connectors on it. I tried the 1 ohm resistor trick at radio shack and they did not stock one with such a low value. The units on the radiator support are the crash sensors.
