frame question

Hi all, I'm new to this board. I have a 1995 Ford F-150 4x4, and I was wondering if the frame is the same as what's on a 3/4 ton about the same age. I have been told that the frame should be the same except for the cross supports. Someone said that there are more supports on a 3/4 ton. Anyway, I am wanting to convert it to a 3/4 ton with a solid front axle, (probably a Dana 60), with a NV4500 tranny and not sure about the transfer case just yet. This is part of a buildup for a later engine swap.

frame question

i do beleive that the frame is different between the 1/2 ton and 3/4 tons. now the light duty 3/4 ton might be the same as the 1/2 but i am not certain. either way you should be able to put 3/4 ton axles under the truck. and you will have to us a dana 60 solid axle under that truck unless you get a dana 50 from a 1999 and up, but that will require making the springs a bit wider then they are stock on the 1980-1997 fords. but this is something to think about. since you have coil springs under that truck i would look into using the solid axles out from under the dodges. the pumpkin is on the same side as the ford. but you will have to look into where the coil springs mount in comparison to the dodges. they might not be in the same spots, just a thought though. ok, i got a lil' off of yer question so im gonna shut up now. hope i helped ya out some.
