So now the AC will not change location.
It blows hot & cold fine and changes the blower speed fine, but it seems to be stuck in the defrost mode. No matter what setting i put it on it doesn't change.
What can ya suggest? I know AC work is damn pricey so I don't wanna take it to the dealer till i know I cant fix it.
there are 3-4 vacuum cylinders that direct the air to the defrost, dash and floor. if you loose vacuum, the default is to go to the defrost. you need to inspect under the dash, near the center- glove box area and see if you have a 1/4 size black hose that is connected, or has a leak. look for a TEE that might be broke, follow the hose to the accumulator, maybe inside the right fender wel, follow the hose to the motor manifold. somewhere the hose has a leak. last resort is under the dash on the back of the control ****.

Perfect! I remember seeing a piece of plastic on the floor when I pulled the dash apart last night. Now, I wont get to look till tonight or tomorrow, but I think the plastic was from the "T" you are talking about. How would I go about repairing this "T"??
