misfire on 1 and 4

Hi everybody! been awhile since I have been on here, I now have issues with my 99 limited ! It came up with codes 1 and 4 cylinder misfire and also bank 1 too lean. Was wondering if any one had some ideas to check? I know I have spark to both plugs and the plugs have only been in for about 2000 miles now. The truck has 129,000 on it. I dont hear any knocking or pinging at all just runs rough and popped those codes. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd switch those wires with 2 different ones, reset the codes, and see if codes more to the cylinders that you moved the wires to.

first a few questions

did you gap the plugs properly? (.54)

have you looked at the vacuum lines that share the same area as your plug wires? ( ive seen ppl get these codes just by knocking the PCV valve loose from its rubber line)

have you inspected your MAF/ air filter housing to make sure it is properly sealed? this not being sealed is another reason to get these codes...

those are the three thing i see most commonly after a plug change. these are the easy things to check as well. also what engine do you have 4.0 or 5.0?

try cleaning the MAF (with MAF approved cleaner) also try cleaning the
IAC (idle air control) and maybe some throttle body cleaner would help.

after that stuff ide look to the o2 sensor on the pass side(bank one)

check these things and get back to me. im having the same issues minus the lean codes and have spent hours searching the internet in hopes of the solve. so at least i can give you some direction.

I havent changed the plugs, all started one day driving it. its a 5.0L. getting ready to change the 2 injectors because every body I have talked to has said with the lean code being in there they could have went out.

ide try that o2 sensor first....changing injectors not the easiest job in the world....check the wires going to it as well they may have laid against the manifold and melted...worth checkin into....also what is the number to the code? searching the explorer forums on other sites i see alot of o2 sensors going bad and causing the lean code...
