It's not the easiest thing in the world to fix, but it's not the end of the world either. There is a seal that is only serviced through the front cover of the differential housing. You have to remove the side bearing caps and the ring gear carrier to change the seals.....but it's time consuming since the wheel hub bearings need to be removed and the axle shafts pulled out too.
Hook it, I'll pull it.

I'm in the same boat - looks like my driver's side inner seal is leaking fluid based on seeing it on the lower part of my knuckle. Is there a link or posting with pictures of the inner seal replacement procedures? So far all I've seen is excellent documentation on the outer seals during ball joint replacement (which I need to do as well....)
