I'm assuming you are talking about the upper wide dent molding. Front fenders there are two clips that have small nuts that need to removed (9mm or 11/32 I think). Then the molding just pulls off from other 3 plastic clips.
The door is about the same thing. 2 nuts on each end and then pull. The small cab molding has the 1 screw to remove and that pops off.
For the bed, you need to remove the tail light to get at a nut there to remove and then another nut that is located just in front of the wheel well and then the molding pops off.
All those pics are courtesy of Dennis-Carpenter.com illustrations in their catalogs. Nice illustrations to show where the different clips are located.
Simple 'nuff to do if you don't want it. The "bright work" should snap off and leave plastic clips (body side moldings). The tail gate may have nuts on the inside of the bed, wheel well trim is held on w/ screws. Afiet I removed the bright work, I took a Dremel & ground off (carefully) the little studs that held the plastic clips and then primed & painted the spots (or get rust). A bit of fiberglas resin & cut up cigarette filters filled in the holes - used the Dremel again / prime & paint. Work slow / don't rush & it'll look good.
Thanks for the replies. I would like to save some of the mouldings. And yes it is the wide down the middle but also the lower as well. When I remove the nuts from behind the mouldings do I slide it off or do I need to pull it off?
