Yes, you need to use a heated flush machine or just change the pan, and change the pan, and change the pan. of course each change of pan, you only get 1/2 the fluid. Dealer or some specialty oil places have them, just make &*^% sure they use Mercon SP.
Silly me, I assume the OP wishes to drain the converter in order to change the AT fluid. In the case of the Torqueshift, that is not going to happen due to thermostatic control of fluid movement. I beleive the hottest fluid from the converter goes out to the radiator and through the inline filter. So, if he wants to change it, then the heated flush is the way to go. If he just wants to drain it, and there is no plug, then I suggest a 3/8 drill bit, but it will be done for good then, unless he wants to take the whole thing out and weld in a drain bung and plug....
