Torque converter drain plug

Does anyone else not have a drain plug in the torque converter? I went to change the tranny fluid and filter yesterday and after draining the pan and replacing the filter, I went to drain the torque converter. I removed the observation pan (I did not have a rubber plug in mine) and spun the converter completely around and did not see a plug. My truck has a ford reman'ed tranny the PO had installed. Do you think this may be the reason for no plug? I was looking for it on the bottom of the converter and all I found was an orange painted circle. Should I have been looking somewhere else for it(on the side, etc.). If my converter was not equiped with one, how do you guys think I should drain it? I have read the instructions on how to drain the cooler lines and converter by running the truck but that does not sound very appealing to me. Thanks, Adam

Have it flushed with a fluid exchange type of machine.
