ford 9 inch question

ford 9 inch question
I have a 50 f1 with a ford 9 inch from a 57 f100. Does the driveshft center line have to be straight or can it be offset. (trans yoke to rear diff yoke)The passenger tube is shorter, plus the offset of the third member puts the center line of the driveshaft off to the passenger side. My guess it would be approx 4 inches to the passenger side. Will this cause a vibration? Is this OK or should I get a new housing. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do?

Others can chime in but I believe it must NOT be straight in line. I thought Ford put the offset in on purpose and Mopar did it vertically.
I know that a '60 Truck 9" is a bolt-in as is for my 49. I've done it three time with no mods and no trouble.

TERRYB4471------I don't understand why you think there may be a problem.You say you "will try it".Ford motor co. tried it a long time ago with no problems and kept on building it. don't worry it's okay.
