Any suggestions on after market wheels for a 2000 2wheel drive dualie my stock alloy wheels look like crap and new factory are astronomically priced. A coworker tried to convince me to use SOS pads on em cuz thats what he had done, I went home and checked in the mirror and it still does'nt say stupid on my forehead so I aint gonna try the SOS suggestion, unless of course you's guy's think after market wheels dont cut it in the strength, durability section, if I can even find any, which I have not at least on line. They are 16" and I just put new rubber on, so dont want to upsize.
Thanks for any suggestions
Woody
I see the stock aluminum wheels for a SRW on ebay all the time. I never really looked for DRW's on there but I'm sure they are there. I have been beating my head against the wall for a year trying to find a wheel that suited me. I really wanted some hub centric wheels but couldnt seem to find them so I settled on some Moto metal 951's, just havent gotten around to ordering them yet. This is for my SRW. I know there is alot of people here that do a lot of towing with their aftermarket wheels on the SRW trucks.
On my dually I have 1 front wheel that the coating must have worn off because it looks like azz. I tried every cleaner know to man with no luck. I finally said the h*** with it and used some very very fine steel wool on it. I then polished it with Blue Magic (I think I'll check) metal polish. It came out pretty good. The shine is holding up fairly well also.
