Engine is still the 5.4 L, but the order guide says TBD for fuel economy and horsepower/torque which probably means they are going to jack around with it again.
It's going to come with the 4.0L engine they used to throw in the Rangers with 2.97 gears to up the mileage when on the highway...(Kidding)
yeah, sorry I wasn't clear on that, the Lariat and up models have 6 buttons (3 for the info/trip computer, and then the standard traction control/hazard/passenger air bag buttons). The FX4 does not have the 3 buttons for the info/trip computer.
You could try cutting the FX4 dash panel to fit those 3 info/trip computer buttons that your new Lariat will have.
Well, that sucks about the 3 versus 6 buttons. Because they are placed differently I dont think I would be able to cut them out of the carbon fiber.
HOWEVER, looking at Gaboon Ebony and Macassar Ebony wood I think I have found a suitable replacement for the center stack that would match carbon fiber trim... would probably take a long time to make, but it would be awesome when done! I wonder how the center stack cover is attached to the truck. I probably will have to use metal clips or something. Any woodworkers out there who have made custom interior trim?

You would be talking big $ to get a custom made wooden trim made. I would thing a $1000+ at a very minimum. Plus when i took mine of there a lot of custom clips/screw holes on the cover.
Good luck on the wait. Unless ford has changed things, the factory does accept order untill July 1. Then it is about 8 weeks to produce. that would mean a late September delivery. I ordered my 09 in the middle of June and recieved at the end on January.
