Hobby gun
Eastwood Company - HotCoat Powder Coating Gun

****Just a note before you click buy, you CAN NOT use your kitchen oven. If you put powder coating in an oven, it cannot be used for food ever again, it is a small amount, but it still lets off VOC (poison) that gets trapped in you the oven and is no longer safe to prepare food with.

the reason I ask what guns you guys are using is because I hate to buy the entry level gun only to find out I should have spent a little more. Any tips and hits are greatly appreciated. Also, finding the old oven for the shop was the easy part. LOL

get a good light above you work stations so you can make sure u hit the piece evenly if not some spaces will get hit harder than others and it will show

also a good xacto knife kit for when taping things up comes in handy

and as it was said to me by dforgy i believe is to use the aircraft stripper and a plastic wire brush

a sand blasting booth is good for gettin hard to get areas but it will cut way to much in to profits if your lookin to make some money on this i found out the hard way

cant wait to see your work

I'm not trying to drag you down for trying to make money, but an honest dollar is always better.

Anyways, I've been doing this for at least 3 years, and i'll tell you that the fact that powder coating doesn't fade is hands down better than paint. It can withstand engine compartment temps, resist's chipping, scratching, and gouging. To me, there's no comparison between powder coating and liquid paint.

when I get going I will not be in it to make a profit, it will be strictly for myself and a few close buddies.
