My buddy got a leveling kit for his 2500HD and man it looks good but he said it really stiffened the ride up. He said that if he crosses a bump, it keeps bouncing forever. I really love the way my KR rides and I know sometimes you can't have your cake and it it too but most every 4x4 has been lifted to some degree. I have seen some that have shock extensions and some that don't. Thoughts.....
I swapped out the +1 HD coils on mine for Bilstein 2.25" leveling coils and Bilstein 5100HD shocks almost 2 years ago. It rides far better, much less bottoming out and when it does it smooth, minimized Death Wobble, too.
I do have a Reunel front bumper and Warn 12K winch up front though so that makes a difference.

if you love the way your truck rides now with the stock shocks you will be in for a treat with some performance ones. most people don't care for the stock shocks.
There's no doubt about it for me. My truck has leafs all around and the after market spring pack and shocks were a big improvement over stock. Ride and handling have more control with a softer ride. The front spring pack has 5 thinner leafs instead of 2 thick ones and the rear adds a longer leaf to the oem pack third from the top. New shocks at each corner. Bigger rubber is coming....but it doesn't fit in the garage now.
I hadn't planned on swapping the coils but I could. When I hear thwe word coils, I think $$$. However, I didn't ask what was cheap, i just wanted to know what rode well. I would assume the coil kits are a considerable bit more. If I went with a spacer lift, would I need longer shocks or just better ones?
With the Readylift kit you can use your current shocks and coils. The kit consists of a trackbar bracket, coil spacers, shock brackets, and fastening hardware. You can skip the shock bracket if you like and go with longer shocks if you are getting new shocks in the future.
