Does anyone know where I can get a dipstick tube for an '87 Econline 250 van? Ford says the part has been discontinued, and I've checked every junkyard in my area but came up with nothing. I had to remove the tube and plug up the hole with a rubber cork. I'd appreciate any help.

Just search for an aftermarket chrome tube on the internet. I looked high and low for a tube at the junkyards with no luck. You can get a chrome one for about 30 bucks. More than I wanted to spend at the time, but much better than the rubber cork! (I had one too).

Try Fordpartsnetwork.com, a guy there by the name of Torrie was able to help me with 1989 parts. I was told the transmission indicator for my F250 was discontinued, so I suggested looking at the 1991 model year. Sure enough, he found it. Good luck.
