360 rebuild ?
My 71' f-100 started ticking or knocking a while back when deccelerating and just recently I heard it knock while idling. It is a 360 with a 4 speed. The only things that I have done is a carb and headers.
IS it just getting weak?

No, ticking and knocking are signs that it is finally totally broken in, and is now safe to rev to 7000 RPM. 
See the many threads here about the 360 and the best fix for it, which is to make it a 390 with some compression, a cam with lobes, headers, pot metal intake and 4 hole carbon maker.
