I have an 89 Bronco with 125K on the factory rear limited slip. It doesn't grip like it use to and I am curious if it is possible to replace the clutches/ overhaul the unit to improve its performance.
Yes, the trac-lok is rebuildable and it is a fairly simple job. You could probably get the kit from Ford but I would check with some of the shops that sell aftermarket diffs to get a better price.

Hey man I'd be carefull about them aftermarket kits. I'v been trying to change rear end gears ...see question below you and Ford says it aint ford so there's nothing they can help with and the people who made the gears say its all the right stuff...you might just have to shim everything a bit... paying ford prices suck but it might be best
I took my Power lock in to have the clutches replaced. It works great. It is way tighter than it was before. I couldn't believe the difference they made.
