Pressed in noisy bushing needs greased

I was wondering if there is anyway to "inject" grease inside a bushing? I have one on my front driver side lower control arm that is making a lot of noise. I tried packing grease on it from the outside hoping that some might penetrate to the inner part of the bushing but it hasn't because it's still making noise. I know I'm going to have to eventually replace that control arm but it's not shifting around or anything so it's still working good as of now. Just noisy. Is there anything I can do to get grease inside the bushing to stop the noise? This is just temporary until it all gets replaced. Don't have the bucks to do that right now. Thanks for any help.

Could you please explain further on how to do that? What kind of needle, where to get it, how to inject it, etc? Thanks.

Some types of grease will eat some types of rubber compounds so be careful what you use. You might be better off spraying some silcone in there using the small tube attachment. Most rubber has an affitinty for it plus you won't be attracting dirt and grime to the area since it's a 'dry' lube.

If I use an injector needle on a grease gun do I just try and press the needle into every crevice that I can around the bushing to try and get the grease inside of it? Or, is there a proper way to do this? Sorry for all of the dumb questions. I'd rather ask dumb questions then end up doing something dumb when trying this. I've never done this before. Thanks.

Tri-Flow

I would use some kind of spray lube, such as tri-lube, or any penetrating stuff ya got. Just flood the $heet out of it!

I just bought a grease gun with an injector needle so I'm going to give that a try. I've tried the sprays and they last about a day or two at the most so I guess this is my next step. Any advice on how to inject the grease would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'm just going to stick the needle in as far as I can and hopefully I can get some inside the bushing. Thanks guys.
