Man I'm in trouble...Iv got a 96 f-250 4x4 and have changed the front gears in the Dana...I'm going from 4:10s to 3:55 the rear is a 10 1/4 inch my new pinion shaft gears that fit on the yoke are "farther out" than the originals and I cant seem to find the correct yoke. Whats the deal?? Now I'v been told that ford doesnt make a conversion kit like Dana does...but a yoke isnt brain surgury...My truck is down NOW!! HELP

Let me see if I understand... Your pinion gear sticks out farther so when you put the yoke on, then the nut, you run out of threads and cannot tighten the nut down properly? Or you the threads hit the u-joint? IF either is the case I would assume the pinion gear is the wrong one if it is too long. Put it next to the stock one and see if the lengths match. The only difference should be the number of teeth and thier diameter.
