straight axle?

has anyone ever swapped in a straight axle into an f150 4x4? one of my friends has an 04 with 35" nitto mud grapplers (if you ask me, thats a little overkill) and he wondered if this had ever been done if anyone has heard of a website or company that does this i'd appreciate the info thanks
