I haven't been able to use it either for quite some time. Plug in something common like "what size tires" and get anything from CB radios to Oasis reports. Strange how it works for some folks and not others.
It doesn't work for me either. When I use quotes to do an exact phrase it returns over 250 posts with very different topics. Also, we used to use a + before words to include them so you could search for ads with all words, but not in the same phrase, that was a nice feature. Now I use Google and include FTE in the phrase to search this forum...
What are you trying to search for? I'll try it and see if I can come up with anything that works.
I know what's wrong. In the regular search you can type oil and everything will come up. In advanced search you need to type the quotes such as "oil" if you just type oil without the quotes nothing comes up.
T'was my fault, other guys might be doing the same.Just a heads up.
Okay, I know Art knows how to do this, so I have to assume something is wrong. Because an advance search for "oil" in quotes, brought up 250 results, and the word oil, in the color red, appeared in each one that I checked on the first page.
I tried it in caps and lower case, worked the same.
I guess I should just be happy it works for me.
How about suggesting a meaningful search word or phrase, and I will try it again.
