Pete that is a nice Service truck there...Looks like that rusty Compartment can be fixed easily enough
Yea dad mentioned having it painted up.
I figure we'll paint inside the compartments and have the exterior painted by someone who knows what they're doing.
Right now I'm in the market for an 11' power angle plow blade. Preferably from a municipality. As well as a slide-in hydraulically powered sander. If that green Int'l gets set up right I'll be able to plow out around our yard in 1 pass in a lot of places. Although we do have a 9' Fisher blade for the 95 PSD.
My wife and I and my friend from North Kingston had a real good time. It was hard to take pics of the jets, they move so fast. I am somewhat familiar with the speed of the jets, as I spent 2 years on a Destroyer DDG-4 the USS Talbot, now FFG-4. We spent time at Gitmo practicing our tracking of Jets. Also last month I was at the air show at Langley in Virginia. To compare the two shows, Langley wins hands down. The show was run by the military at Langley, no advertising, no commercials. The show at North Kingston RI seem like it was run by a radio station. There were venders from Verizon, Town Fair Tire, home improvement, at least two radio stations and various other commercial distractions. Also, Rhode Island had coorperate viewing with canapy tents blocking the view for half the air strip. Very commercial. Langley didn't have any of that.
Oshkosh Air Show is THE BEST! go for the week, i highly recommend it.
the first picture you posted is one of the worlds WORST aircraft. the v-22 osprey looks great on engineering paper but its a P.O.S. in real life! many many many problems. well over $55 BILLION in defense budget has gone to developing the crap box, and production has been halted 3 times, after 19 people were killed (seperate incidents).....before it was even approved for mass production.
i had never seen one in person before, i wish i had made it out to the show!
