Hey, everyone. Had an eventful day in N. Franklin today.
Power went out mid-auction. Got some neat stuff though. Not gonna say what we got yet though.
They shut the doors of the building and brought the drivers all inside and sold everything by picture. They didn't want to take the risk of someone getting struck by lightning.
evening all. Ken and Sean, that picture made my day too.
we had some significant lightning down here. it was rather unnerving when a lightning bolt went across the sky and would make my CB crakle "squelch". that and driving down 95 towards the lighning was kinda freaky. oh and the fact that my CB antenna, which hits bridges that are 10' 5" clearance, would make a great lightning rod. took that off REAL quick lol. the double rainbow afterwards was really cool. good thing I got a picture. ill put it up tomm. night all.
At the sale they stopped rolling equipment over the ramp once it got to be real bad lightning. They sold all equipment by picture only.
They shut the huge bifold door that covers the glass doors. I was kinda disappointed cause the manlifts were all right outside it with the booms up. I wanted to see one get hit by lightning. I didn't have anything to lose if they got hit.
They lost power a couple times up at Petrowsky's. The generator kicked on, but it took a few minutes and they only turned a few lights and the computers and mics on.
