I would like to upgrade my truck to a nicer one. This one is nice yes, it does what I need it to, yes, but I dont like the regular cab.
I really want a Crew Cab Long bed. I like the OBS trucks better than the Super Dooties, but would be willing to trade up to a 7.3 SD.
Wondering what my truck would be worth.
Its a 97 OBDII truck with 216K miles on it. Long bed regular cab. 4x4 5 speed. The interior shows that the truck was a work truck before I got it. The bed has some dings in it and a few dents on the out side of it. I think it needs new injector O rings, needs new glow plugs, but other than that, it runs fine.
Wondering if I could get 5 grand out of my truck, and maybe trade up to somehting like this.

my truck is the same year as yours, same color, work truck before i got it, 195k miles, etc. i went by a dealer about a month or two ago and acted like i was interested in one of their trucks just to see what they would give me on trade. they were willing to give me right at 5k towards an 8k truck they had. so id say 5k shouldnt be too hard to get even on a trade in, but you could probably get a little more selling it yourself.

I am going to post it on craigslist. see if I get any bites. If I do, then I can convince my parents that I can do this trading up on the trucks. There is a centrion truck that Im looking at now. 94,000 miles, F350, Crew Cab, long bed, 4x4, automatic fow 8200 right now. I can swing the cost of that. I will not do any payments or take a loan out for a truck, unless its to just build credit, where I have all the money for it already, but pay it off monthly to build up my credit.

Matt go look at wolf auto in wheatridge off of 170 and kipling theyll take your truck in trade for $5k easy and theyve got several of of the OBS trucks on the lot. If you find one you like youll probably only be looking at 2-3k more depending on how well you negotiate. That and if you see something you like let me know, I know one of their managers and Ill see if I can get her to cut you a better deal.

I take that back I just looked at their website it doesnt look like they have very many anymore. I just helped a buddy buy one there a couple weeks ago. either that or they dont have their website updated. Keep watching craigslist though I see em around here all the time for good prices the f350 crewcabs are rarer though usually at dealerships if you find em, also check vehix Ive seen some there too.

97 CC LB auto 4x4 232k miles, 425hp, ran 14.06 but is capable of mid-high 13s
truck is in GREAT condition besides 2 very small rust spots on the front wheel wells, but i may be getting that fixed very soon since i got the truck repainted last year and they were supposed to fix the rust, it will get fixed if the painter pays for it
