4 loose wires

I was conducting all of my maintenance yesterday when I noticed these four cut wires hanging above the fuze box. They are red, black, white and blue with no tracers. I know the previous owner had something rigged up in here because of the shotty hole he cut in the fire wall plug, a piece of velcro stuck to the inside of the fire wall, and a screw in the pillar. Does anyone know what these may go to? I looked over the OASIS report to see if maybe it was a crap repair job or something but there is no record before I bought the thing.

Those are pass through wires that go into the cab. They are there for you to use for whatever you want. They won't handle high amp/voltage applications though.

Cool, I looked under the dash and couldn't find the other end, do you know where the other end comes out at.

Unfortunately, I don't. I thought they were the other end of my brake controller wires, but someone corrected me a long time ago. Since then I haven't bothered looking for the end inside the cab.

Thanks anyway, I am sure I will find them if I ever need them. I love this site there is always someone on here with an answer. I hope that someday I will be able to contribute something instead of being an info leech.

You may have to drop the fuse box inside to find the other end of those wires....

Just in case your were wondering, the previous owner probably had a tuner, like the Banks sixgun. That's what it sounded like by your description.

Juno is correct, the 4 wires are pre-wired pass through for lights, winches, etc. The upfitter wiring is color coded differently. I had similar confusion when I got my '07 f-350. Follow this link, it's to the Service Bulletin for the upfitter switches and wiring. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q117.pdf

Those four wires are the Pass-Thru wires, they are extra wires that you can use for adding accessories so you don't have to run your own wires through the firewall. The other ends of them are directly behind your fuse box under the dash.

Well answers the question on the wires but creates another? My ele trailer brake is in that location, so where would mine go to? I dont have any other switches.
