Loose Hose
I found a hose hanging off the rear axle of my '02 F150, and have no idea what it's for or where it is supposed to attach. I'm hoping the vehicle is safe to drive to a mechanic (it got me home before I noticed it hanging!), and hope to be armed with some info before I take it in. If anybody has any ideas, it'd be appreciated.

probably the axle breather hose which, I assume, should be cliped onto the frame above the axle. If you can`t see where it should be fixed tie it so that it does not drag on the ground while driving untill you get it fixed properly.

If you tie it up (I use zip ties) just leave enough slack for axle travel and do not squish it all the way closed. Best thing is to force it back into the clip. It does not hurt to make sure the end of the hose is clear. If there is a choice, face the hose downwards and rearwards.
