how come we have to go to another site to find out about these things that our own forum sponsor has to offer us ?? they seem to be always posting on PSN but i havnt seen them on here for quite some time...any ways...here is the new toy PSN was told about...
New Gadget!
<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Well boys some of you have requested this for a loooooooooong time.
We now have available a rotary **** style switcher. Here's the deal though... In order to give you what you wanted it could not be made with the default position 0 to lock it out of switch on the fly or to disable your truck from starting. We will not offer a no start option with the rotary **** switcher for this reason.
From our old chip install instructions from 2004-2006 there is a perfect spot to hide it out of site if you want to and still be able to reach it.(Well for some of us anyway.) I will repost them on our site as soon as I have new pictures for the instruction manual.
For those wondering, the switching mechanism is on the switch is just like the EX switcher and Gauge switcher, the shaft is light grey, with a small billet style ****. I will have it on our site sometime this weekend after we get our office moved and settled.
Thanks,
Diane

Actually, it's STILL hanging over the steering wheel. I want to put it where the stock 4x4 switch is, but I haven't gotten 'round to it. I have a TON of electrical stuff to get done, just no time to do it.

I wouldn't call it bling Joe. I think it is more functional (16 positions vs. 6), plus it requires no guessing what tune you are in, or repositioning in order to know for sure. I am not saying the rotary isn't functional and guys like you that have them, get accustomed to them and they work great. But if you look at pure functionality, you can't deny how the push button digital display has it's plusses.
I know, Jason. You do have to remember what tune you're in, unless it's mounted (like I want to do so you can mark the positions! ). That said, I use three tunes regularly: Daily Drive, Extreme, and High Idle. I also have Stock (a waste now with my van turbo -- it will be going away when I get my sticks in), Tow, and Street Race. I do use Street Race sometimes, but there's really no difference that I can tell on the top end between it and Extreme. Both smoke like a freight train until my turbo lights. LMAO!!!
Even when I had my DP, I went along with 3 tunes (stock, 80E, and 120R) for the longest time. I added 140, 60T, and lopey-idle later (right before I got rid of it naturally ). I still ended up using 80E & 120R most of the time. The 120 & 140 tunes both dynoed about the same (310/680), and the lope-idle didn't really work with my truck. I don't know why, but sometimes it would lope, other times it wouldn't. I should've asked for a refund on that one, but it was only $25 and I didn't push it...
Maybe "bling" was the wrong term, but I don't regret it at all...
I certainly wouldn't PREFER a rotary style switcher over the F5-F6 style digital readout one.
Not trying to start a war here, but I am siding with this comment. Rotary ***** are for AM radios and my FoxPro Fury game caller!
But to each their own, and I respect the options and choices of everybody. If all our trucks were the same it would be a pretty boring world...
I agree with Jason and Ryan, it should be everyone trying to go with the DP Switch instead of DP going old school and going back to the rotary. Speaking of that I haven't seen Diane around here lately.

The fact that they're bringing out the rotary style again tells me that a lot of folks are asking for it. Hence this statement: "Well boys some of you have requested this for a loooooooooong time. "
I don't need 16 tunes, and don't need a digi-wigi readout. 6 positions is plenty for me. Besides, I get free reburns whenever I want, so it's not like I need to buy tunes and keep them if I don't like 'em. I think it was very smart of them to offer something folks are asking for.
I hear ya Joe. I am in 80 E 95% of the time, but when I do switch it I like knowing what I switched to for certain. It was not really a knock on the rotary switch, it's just that I don't understand why, if you weren't going with someone else's tunes, you would prefer the limitations of the rotary switch compared to the other switcher. I understand it if you are going with TW's tunes or PHP or something else.
