300 just quit

I need some help bad. My 1984 F-150 300 carb 4 speed just died. It ran fine, leaks a little oil. I was heading up a hill in low RPM 4th gear and the motor quit. It died similar to when the valves are floated but it did not fire back up. It turns over like it has no fire but i just changed the distributor cap and rotor. I'm dumb founded about this. Coil? Fuel? Piston Rings?

Did it die like you shut the ignition off? I would check to see if it is getting spark before any thing else, and then I would move on to fuel. Ignition could be caused by coil, wiring, ignition module, or even a fuse.

It quit as i was going down the road, do you know were i could find parts diagrams and/ or a fuse box map?

how was it running before it died? do you have dura spark ign, or eec?.

Well it was running fine. I changed the fuel pump, coil, and ECM and still no spark

check your coil with a test light, with the key on, to see if you have power, could be a bad , or out of adjustment ignition switch. also test the fuseable links off your solinoid
