My boss just threw up the idea to me of getting another set of rims/tires for summer use to save the winter A/T treads for winter plowing. Any of you guys do the same, have a different set of rims/tires to run in the summer?
I run ATs year round, but I do alot of back roads/no roads stuff durring the summer. I don't know how many miles it would take to pay off, but the more miles you guys put on, the quicker it will pay.
i keep my stock rims with 265s for winter and have a nice set of aftermarket with 285s for summer i also have a set of steel wheels if anybody close wants to buy them.
i run 285/70r/16 nitto-dune grappelers in the summer on my own custom wheels and the same size copper st on my xlt wneels...my buds been doin this so i will see if this is true about tire ware
