Do you have summer tires?

My boss just threw up the idea to me of getting another set of rims/tires for summer use to save the winter A/T treads for winter plowing. Any of you guys do the same, have a different set of rims/tires to run in the summer?

Yeah, it's definitely worth it to get the extra set for the summer. I've found my winter tires can last almost twice as long.

I did on another rig, and if I could afford a set of wheels and tires I'd do it.

I run ATs year round, but I do alot of back roads/no roads stuff durring the summer. I don't know how many miles it would take to pay off, but the more miles you guys put on, the quicker it will pay.

It would only pay off if the difference in life between the tires were significant. AT tires have pretty long life these days.

I'm currently running 4 Yokohama Geolandar AT/S Tires. Good stuff, plus, they are wearing well in the summer now.

Mine are 265s.

Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S

Overall, I don't think I'll put another type of tire on my truck. Took me through plowing season great on a open diff with 3.73s.
