I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but I'm going to change my fluids soon and need to know what types to use. I'm using 80W90 gear lube for the rear. For the frontend, the manual says "hyploid gear lube." Anything more specific, weight? Also, what type of "standard transmission lube" should I run in an NP435? Thanks.
you can use the same gear lubee in all of them hypoid only means the type of gear setup all difs are hypoid gears except for on a semi where the pinion gear rides higher than center of the ring gear.
80W90 will work fine all the way around but your transfer case might have ATF in it so check the book for that
Thanks, the manuals are kind of vague on some of the fluid types. I already did the transfer case (easiest one ), filled it with ATF, which is also what the Mazda 5 speed takes.
