torque converter?

torque converter?
wonder if anyone else has experienced this.it's an 01 e150 cargo and sometimes(often) when i come to a full stop, i get a clunk or thump as though something was turning and came to a stop. i'm thinking tc but what else may be rotating with the driveline.no vibration so i don't think it's universals.any body have any suggestions where to look? thanks dennis
