Fuel Problems...Please HELP

hey guys...
i had a problem with my fuel pressure...i had my mechanic replace the pump/regulator. and im still having the same problem...he put some "good" injector cleaner in it...he told me that if it doesnt clear up in a couple days, id have to pull off th fuel rail and injectors and clean them...has anyone done anything like this before, or is this better left for a professional? thanks for the help in advance

What pressures are you seeing? Before trying to clean the injectors I'd look at the fuel rail pressure while it's running and at high rpm. If fuel is trickling out the injectors, then the pressure should stay up, but if the injectors are pouring fuel, the pressure should fall. Just because he put on new pump and regulator doesn't mean that they were good out of the box.

I'd heard of professional injector servicing for gas motors. There a big machine that flowed a cleaning solution and metered the injectors. It also helped find matching injectors (exact same lbs/hr). Depending on what caused the problem, maybe soaking in mineral spirits could help, but without a way to safely blow the trash out, I don't think it's going to help much.

we checked the pressure at the rail and it is 45...before the new pump we had 30 and running we had 15. so i think it is working...but the filter had a rusty colored gas in it. that is what i checked first. we replaced the filter and pump. ill have to look into a station that cleans them. we are pretty rural where im from, so we dont have too many of those shops. let me know if there any other things i could do?
