Hello all, it all started a few weeks ago with a little miss that got wores over the days, pulled and replaced all the plugs...they were in need of a change. all seemed good right after the plug change, then a day or 2 later the little miss came back, and now has turned into a wired thing...while stopped...put it in reverse, start to back up with little to no gas and the truck dies!?...almost like a vacume leak like in the old days lol. got to be a cop but not sure? any one have any ideas?
p.s. before i changed the plugs i waited until the check enginge light came on and saw cylinder 7 miss fire. as of yet no light...have not tried to scanner again yet....
the cop's sit a tiny bit loose on their mount right? i can turn mine just a hair left or right..all connectors seem to be ok...plug gap was ..040? autolite double plats.
question, do you have an actual check engine light, or is it a service engine soon light??
I also have a miss, but no light, but when i turn key on i only have service soon light, no check engine i can see, wondering if someone pulled the bulb.
I replaced all my plugs and 2 cops, i still misses. Think i will put the 2 cops i took off back in maybe i can find it like that.
i didnt know where to start, so took the cops off the plugs that looked the richest.
At the dealership they can hook up a laptop to your obd port and it will give a cylinder by cylinder look at the misses recorded. I just had mine scanned.
