Help Body Module?
2002 F250 Diesel, door locks will not work, keyless entries will not unlock, door ajar light staying on, auto headlamps will not work. Dome light does go out when doors are shut. The truck sits thru the winter in a shop, but does get started. It has been driven a couple of times before this happend. Not sure if it could be the BCM or something else. Any advice would be appreciated.

It the VSM (vehicle Security Module). It has to be ordered by VIN and then programmed. I had the same issues, no power door locks, no keyless entry, door ajar at all times. Replacing the VSM solved all but the door ajar issue. I have to get it programmed now to fix it all.

I FIRST would try to spray the door latches with WD40!!!! Fords are very prone to this problem If the computer does not "see" the doors as closed, many things will happen such as above! Spray inside ALL the door latches (on the door). Soak 'em good!!! Open/close each door many times.... check to see if the problem is resolved. If not, do it again....It took mine a sit overnight before they started working correctly again...I went thru almost a full can of WD40, but it hasn't done it again ... about 4 years now.

The door latch sensor will not stop the door locks/keyless entry from working. Because I haven't programmed my VSM it thinks my doors are open (unless both fronts are open), but the locks/keyless operate as they should.
If your very very lucky and pull one from the exact same truck as yours you might not need programming. However, when I ordered mine from Ford, my guy needed my vin to order the correct one. Now I need to carry to a dealer and have the as build data loaded up.
