Transmision front seal

Transmision front seal
Ok.. I have a 2003 f250 super duty 5.4 auto.. So I decided to tow for the first time my bobcat for a 3 hours up some steep hills on on the highway.. Just 150 yards from my destination the tranny started to leak and dripped on the exhaust and started a fire.. well good thing i was able to put it out..
After closer examination it seems the front seal let go.. But i needed the truck to get home so I put in lucas transmission seal. I have only 45k on the truck and changed my transmission fluid less then a year ago.. My ford guy said the lucas should work so far after the tow back home it is holding up.. Should I just replace the seal anyway to be safe??????? And or is there anything I can do to beef up the tranny...
